if you have a keeper, this soc-guard is great. My daughter cannot adjust a shin guard with keeper gloves on. This holds it in place so that it doesn't have to be adjusted. On a side note, we removed the foam pad and inserted a slide in shin guard.

Bought these as a DEK HOCKEY shin guard back-up - works well since the shots really aren't that hard with a ball. Definitely would recommend.
