The spines in the glove are very flexible. This was so important to her. They are removable, which is one reason we bought these gloves. We were expecting to take a least some of the spines out but have yet to do so. This makes me very happy. I am so glad to have found her a glove that gives her hand some protection. All in all I would give these gloves a 10 for quality. A 10 for flexibility. A 10 for gripping, and a incomplete for durability.(need more time).
