They do keep your hands warm and have ok grip, but when it's cold any grip helps.

Daughter loves them. For colder mid-west mornings or a ball with some dew on it, she gets a nice grip. In her first game wearing them, she made three great throw ins over the top of the defenders - two of which resulted in goals and the third was a shot that was just high. Love these gloves!

These are NOT goalie gloves, these are field gloves as stated on the packaging that they came in. But since they were only $4, it didn't make sense to return... As field gloves in cold weather, they're beneficial, but for play in Florida, they're pretty much useless.
